While I am working on the log house, Elisabeth takes care of an addition to our equipment storage shed.
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Stud framing is a fast way to build. Plywood will cover the walls and roof.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Day gets shorter by the minute, and until the first canoe trip in June, the roof has to be finished. Fortunately it's not getting dark in the Yukon anymore, so working days are very long, nailing tar shingles on the roof.
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Building the sliding working platform on rails on the roof, was the only possible way to lay shingles on a steep roof like that on my own.
